Another beautiful night on the Great Northwest!

We have had such a great summer!! Our summer adventure started when we moved into a different house June 1st! We moved about 5 miles from our old house to Edmonds, WA. We have a beautiful view of the Puget Sound! We get to watch the Ferry's, Cruise ships, submarines, beautiful sunsets.....all from our deck or pool! The kids have loved the pool, and so have I (it is a great babysitter!!). Mike had the month of July off of work, so we got to enjoy the pool and boat alot over the past month!! We have had alot of great swim nights with friends!!
We have also spent alot of time at baseball tournaments with Zac's little travel baseball team, it is fun to watch your kids! I am much more nervous watching my own kid play than when I played myself!! You just want them to succeed. Now we will be following both Zac and Jake, they will get to play on the 9U team together, we have our first tournament this weekend.....and will be missing Sea Fair out on the boat watching the Blue Angels.....oh well, maybe next year!!

Our one vacation away from home (it is hard to leave this place!), we took a friends RV and went to Southeast Idaho to visit my family, and I had my 20 year class reunion!! I had sooo much fun seeing my high school classmates! The RV was a great way to travel, the kids absolutely loved it. It was so funny seeing Mike driving that big RV!! His dad bought him a captains hat to wear in the drivers seat, it was funny.

Now our summer has ended, Mike went back to work on Monday (UGH....single parenthood here I come!), and the boys started football practice. Now we are practicing baseball and football at the same time!! Poor Addison spends most of her day in the car and at some kind of practice!! She is the boys biggest fan! I am looking forward to football season, but it is a hard adjustment on everyone when Mike goes back to work. We miss him!!

My first shot at the BLOGGING world

I love looking at everyone else's blog, and keeping up with everyone's life being so far away.....so, here is the first attempt at letting everyone else keep up with ours!!

We are currently living in Seattle, WA. I was just thinking about where I thought I might live in my life....I am pretty sure I never thought I would live in Kentucky, Michigan, or Missouri....but Washington is not quite as far from home as the others, so we will take Washington!! It has been about 8 months living in Seattle, and they are not kidding about the whole rain thing!! It has rained for almost 3 straight weeks, I have had enough rain for a whole year.

My kids are doing well with the transition, Zac (9) is in the 4th grade, Jake (7) is in the 2nd grade, and Addison (4) is in pre-school. They keep me hopping. I am just a permnant taxi driver from one practice to the next. I can't imagine what it will be like when Addison starts playing sports, too!! I will have to hire a full time driver.

Mike is now coaching at the University of Washington, after being in the NFL for two years, it is fun to be back in the college world again. Gameday is much more exciting, but the hours are alot longer for Mike, and we don't get to see him near as much as when he is coaching in the NFL.

I am just being a full time, single parent during football season. It is hard to imagine what a football coach could do for so many hours, but the ONLY time my kids see there dad is Thursday nights after about 6, and Sunday morning until noon!! So......It is all me and these 3 kids, UGH!!

Okay, so that is the low down for now, I will try to figure out how to post some pics!!!
